Chapter One: The Doer

Ever since I was a child, clarity and vision have been my companions. When I was 12, I was inspired by 'The Wedding Planner,' so I set my heart on becoming a wedding planner. This dream guided my academic and professional journey, culminating in a career that, while initially fulfilling, eventually led me to a crossroads. The pressures of wedding planning unveiled a desire for change, directing me towards the world of design. Yet, even as I succeeded in this new venture, everything I achieved felt hollow, lacking the sense of fulfilment I yearned for.

The Ideal and the Reality

My journey didn't stop with career shifts. Embracing the role of a housewife, I thought I had it all—a long-term partner, the perfect home, a blossoming business, and a bustling social life. But again, beneath the surface of these achievements lay a profound emptiness, a sense of misalignment with my true self.

But, as 'Do-ers' do, I found new dreams. I aspired to the life of a city girl—West London living, elite social circles, travel, and a thriving business adorned with designer labels. Yet, the more I checked off items from my list, yes, you guessed it, the more disoriented I felt. The life I meticulously built seemed alien, a stark contrast to the home and sense of belonging that I longed for in my heart.

A Turning Point

The realisation of my deep-seated unhappiness was a wake-up call. My body and mind rebelled against the life I led, urging me to start anew. Thus began the process of unraveling everything, a journey that led me to Bali. There, amidst spiritual exploration and encounters with incredible individuals, I found the space to contemplate my true desires.

Motherhood Redefined

had always known that I wanted to be a mother and raise a family. To be honest, it had been at the top of my wish list for as long as I could remember. But in Bali I discovered that 'mother' meant more to me than its conventional definition. I recognised motherhood not just as a role but as a reflection of my inner self.It encapsulates the essence of care, dedication, and the legacy I wish to leave behind.

Embracing a New Chapter

Today, as I stand at the crossroads of tradition and modernity, I am proud to embrace motherhood as my true calling. It's an era where women can achieve both career success and personal fulfilment. Inspired by the generations of women before me, I aspire to live a life that harmonises my entrepreneurial spirit with the gentleness and strength of femininity.

This blog marks the beginning of a new journey—one where I aim to explore the depths of being a woman in the 21st century. I aim to embark on this path of rediscovery, balancing the pursuit of financial independence with the nurturing essence of motherhood. I aim to document this journey in a way that aligns with my truth, hoping to inspire you to stand in your own.

With love (and anticipation for what lies ahead),
